As a team parent, you will be responsible for helping relieve the coaches of several admin duties so they can focus on developing the players and encouraging the love of lacrosse. The responsibilities of a team parent include but are not limited to:
Managing the players, schedule and duties in TeamSnap - TeamSnap is the app our program uses to track the team practice and game schedules. In addition TeamSnap is used for directions, game scores, player availability tracking, and to get volunteers for game day duties.
Make Roster cards- When the players have on their helmets, it's hard to know who is who. The players love to have ALL parents cheering them on so the roster cards usually handed out at the first game which provide a list of players and their team uniform number so everyone can cheer on ALL players. Click here for a template you can use or create your own.
Distribute and collect uniforms/pinnies - At the beginning of each season, help is needed to distribute the team uniforms and pinnies for each team. Once player packs are in, those will need to be distributed as well. At the end of the season, the team uniforms and pinnies will need to be collected from the players.
Pictures for Social Media - If you or another parent on your team captures a great team picture that you want share with the program. Please email it to Communications with a blurb on what team this picture is, who you played, and the score or other intersting information you want to share (brag on) so we can get it posted on our social media accounts.
Organize the end of season celebration - Collectively with the other team parents in the division, you all will work to collect money from the parents for the end of season celebration. Then, you all will decide how to use the money (i.e. food, coaches gifts, party, etc.). You will be responsible for communicating details of your team's event and ensuring your coach hands out the bag tags that are already provided you by the program for each team member.
